Abstract
A 70-year-old man presented with sudden aphasia and right-sided weakness. Diffusionweighted imaging revealed multiple small infarctions in the left cerebral hemisphere. Tissue plasminogen activator was administered approximately 4 hours and 10 minutes after symptom onset. Subsequent fever and elevated C-reactive protein levels led to a diagnosis of meningitis. The patient fully recovered following antibiotic therapy. This case demonstrates the safety profile of tissue plasminogen activator administration in ischemic strokes secondary to meningitis.
