- Abstract
- Schizophrenia-like psychiatric symptoms in patients with MELAS are rarely reported. A 34-year-old male was admitted because of visual hallucinations, persecutory delusions and generalized seizure. He also presented with repeated headache, vomiting, and left homonymous hemianopsia. We report a 34-year-male with MELAS presenting psychiatric symptoms before the establishment of the diagnosis by gene analysis. KeyWords:MELAS, Schizophrenia
