It is a rare generalized epilepsy of childhood and represents 1 to 2% of epilepsis in children up to the age of 9 years. In addition to myoclonic and astatic seizures, generalized tonic-clonic seizure, tonic seizure and absence status (non-convulsive status) can be combined.
