Abstract
There are many methods in identifying cerebral lateralization of attention. We use heart rate change ratio during calculation and visual attention procedure instead of previous methods simple reaction time, EEG change or skin conductance. 31 patients were selected for the study, 16 with left hemispheric lesion and 15 with right hemispheric lesion, and age-matched 16 normal control group was selected. We found that ratio of heart rate enange during the period of attention in right hemispheric lesion patients group (6.44, 3.96%) was lower than that of left hemispheric lesion patients group (12.21%, 9.05%) and normal control group (21.36%, 9.61%). So, it is suggested that right hemisphere may play a greater role in attention than left hemisphere.
